We’re an AI research lab partnering with labs to turn their models into skilled researchers that are curious about the world.

We’ve seen general intelligence appear exactly once, and its hallmark has been curiosity: dissatisfaction with what we know, learning from experience, and sharing knowledge with others. These traits built modern science, technology, and culture.

We think superintelligence will come from models that work the same way, starting from what humanity knows and discovering past us.

Scaling curious intelligence is a defining problem of our time. If solved, we will see a new era of scientific understanding and human flourishing.

We build open-ended environments where models learn to do research by doing it, and work closely with each lab on the capabilities that matter to them.
